Relaxing at a Spa on the Big Island of Hawaii

The only thing better than a day in Hawaii--- is a day at the spa in Hawaii! Just a short walk from our condo is the Hilton's Kohala Sports Club & Spa. Its luxurious 25,000-square-foot facility offers specialized massages (We love the outdoor massage looking over the ocean.), facials, scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy treatments, sports enhancement training programs, and salon services. This calming retreat is equipped with an inhalation steam room, lava rock heated sauna, outdoor garden whirlpool (one of our favorites for relaxation), and relaxation lounges. A day at this spa gives new meaning to "died and went to heaven".

If this sounds great, but just doesn't fit into your budget. You can receive some of the same treatments at the local beauty college in Kona. The setting isn't luxurious, but some of the same pampering treatments are available at a much cheaper rate. You can call and make an appointment at (808) 322-0765. If you can afford it, it is still worth the money to go to the Kohala Spa at the Hilton, but if not, this is a fun alternative.
